Finland, 29 September — GapEdu Consulting and Training marks ten years of advancing education and tourism as powerful tools for peace, trust, and sustainable development.
Since 2015, GapEdu has partnered with governments, enterprises, and communities across Asia, the US, India, and Europe to design policies, strengthen skills, and embed sustainability into development. Its work has focused on raising awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 14: Life Below Water, while connecting tourism with agriculture and empowering youth through initiatives such as the Sustainable Tourism Awareness and Ideas Incubator, presented at the Asian Development Bank’s 50th Anniversary in Manila.
GapEdu’s projects range from a circular economy tourism master plan for Côn Đảo Island, Vietnam, to the “An Nhiên Châu Đốc – Mindful Peace is the Place” vision, promoting peace and cultural immersion in line with Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
Since 2022, GapEdu has served as permanent consultant to the World Tourism Forum Institute, aligning Global Tourism Forums with key SDGs. Looking ahead, GapEdu is expanding partnerships with OACM for global ocean conservation and with African youth networks to advance Agenda 2030 through community-driven projects.
“In this International Year of Peace and Trust, GapEdu reaffirms our commitment to building bridges through education and tourism,” said Jyrki Nilson – Co Founder & CEO of GapEdu. “Together, we can shape a more peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable world.”
