GapEdu: The Captain Turning 164 SDG Indicators into Action
đ From Day One â A Legacy of Leadership
When the United Nations officially launched the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on December 31, 2015, the global community was called to act. Just one month later, in January 2016, GapEdu rose to that callâbecoming one of the first organizations in Asia to lead the policy-to-practice transformation of the SDGs in Vietnam and beyond.
At the helm was Hanni Tran, GapEduâs visionary Founder, who boldly introduced the SDG framework to national stakeholders and advocated for integrating the 17 goals and 164 indicators into daily public and private operations. Her pioneering work was recognized internationallyâmost notably at the 50th Anniversary of the Asian Development Bank in 2016âpositioning Vietnam as an active and innovative contributor to the global sustainable development agenda.
Hanni Tran â Founder of GapEdu â officially signed a commitment to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in action at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Headquarters.
â A Nine-Year Journey from Policy to Practice
From 2016 to 2025, GapEdu has remained steadfast in its mission:
To guide the public and private sectors in turning SDG principles into measurable, actionable outcomes.
Rather than focusing on theory alone, GapEdu works side-by-side with partnersâministries, municipalities, corporations, NGOs, and universitiesâto integrate the 164 SDG indicators into strategic plans, daily operations, communications, and accountability frameworks.
GapEdu supports international conferences and events in aligning with the SDGsâadvancing greener logistics, equitable participation, and inclusive economic impact.
