When the United Nations officially launched the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on December 31, 2015, the global community was called to act. Just one month later, in January 2016, GapEdu rose to that call—becoming one of the first organizations in Asia to lead the policy-to-practice transformation of the SDGs in Vietnam and beyond.

At the helm was Hanni Tran, GapEdu’s visionary Founder, who boldly introduced the SDG framework to national stakeholders and advocated for integrating the 17 goals and 164 indicators into daily public and private operations. Her pioneering work was recognized internationally—most notably at the 50th Anniversary of the Asian Development Bank in 2016—positioning Vietnam as an active and innovative contributor to the global sustainable development agenda.
